Project & Operations Coordinator – ASTO (UK Sail Training)

Project & Operations Coordinator

ASTO (UK Sail Training) is at an exciting point in our development. We and our 31 member organisations are passionate about the value that sail training brings to around 12,000 people every year – and about driving greater awareness so that more young people and people of all ages with additional needs can benefit.

As we expand our ambitions, we’re looking for someone to bring their passion and talent to our small (but mighty!) home-based team as the Project & Operations Coordinator.

Location: Home-based, able to travel for events which include overnights and some weekends.

Hours of work: Full-time 37.5 hours per week. Some flexible working considered including compressed hours or part-time (minimum 4 days per week).

Contract type: Fixed term for two years.

Salary: c£32,000 to £35,000, generous pension, 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays. If part-time then this would be pro-rata.

Reporting to: Chief Executive

Closing date: Sunday 18th May at midnight.

This is a new role in the ASTO team and is initially offered as a two-year fixed-term contract.  The organisation is evolving, and whilst it is possible that the role could become longer-term, there is no guarantee.

This role is home-based with some required travel, which is not negotiable. This could be up to around 15 to 20 days a year, including overnights, some weekend working and evenings.
