Do you have a passion for supporting under 25s and individuals with additional needs? Have you ever thought about becoming a trustee? Could you find 4-6 days per year to add value to a high-functioning team by bringing your dynamism and enthusiasm to create lasting impact?
ASTO, the UK’s membership organisation for sail training charities, is looking for new trustees. We enable our members to transform lives through adventure at sea.
“This is an exciting time to join our board. We’re on a mission to expand access to this incredible activity so even more people can benefit from its life changing impact each year.” says Mark Todd, Chair of Trustees. “We are seeking strategic, dedicated and passionate individuals with strong communication and interpersonal skills who can serve with integrity, fairness, and independent judgement.”
Sail training charities make a profound difference to around 10,000 young people and 1,500 adults with additional needs each year. ASTO represents over 30 charities throughout the UK, working together to change lives through sail training.
With some of our Trustees coming to the end of their terms of office, we are seeking to appoint up to three new Trustees to join our energetic Board. We are committed to ensuring our leadership reflects the diverse communities our member charities serve, and we welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.
