Marine Society and Sea Cadets (MSSC) is a leading maritime charity in lifelong learning and personal development and is the governing charity of the Sea Cadet Corps (SCC), a civilian voluntary youth organisation engaging some 15,000 young people over 400 Sea Cadet Units, throughout the UK.  The SCC offers a wide range of youth opportunities with the same enduring objective – to give young people the best possible head start in life through nautical adventure and fun, we refer to this as the Sea Cadet Experience.

MSSC operates 11 training venues – eight of these are dedicated as Boat Stations and are focused on the provision of high-quality training in Dinghy Sailing, Paddlesport, Powerboating, Rowing and Windsurfing. MSSC Boat Stations work as part of the Inshore Boating team and within the Sea Cadet Learning Directorate. The overall objective is to provide professional support and coaching in support of 400 volunteer units.

MSSC are seeking Chief Instructors for three of their Boat Stations to work as part of this high performing team. These Chief Instructors will be a driving force for the quality of delivery, working with Cadets, volunteer instructors and their outreach programme participants to deliver courses, events, and experiences.  They will be instrumental in facilitating and delivering life changing, positive on the water experiences for young people.
